It’s satisfying to do things for the community, and it’s also not unusual to wonder if fellow residents take notice. Herbert Bartemy of Northern Vermont discovered the answer to that question when his family dragged him to a chamber of commerce event where, unbeknown to him, he was to be honored with a coveted award.

Bartemy, owner of TDI Repair and Towing in Swanton, was recognized with the Swanton Chamber of Commerce’s Citizen-Business of the Year award for “going above and beyond over the years.” Adam Paxman, president of the Swanton chamber, explained in the St. Albans Messenger newspaper, “We appreciate how they have, as a local business, given back to the community and become a solid local partner in Swanton.”
