North Carolina Tow Operator Killed While Attempting to Hook-Up/Tow Charter Bus

A tow operator has died after becoming trapped under a charter bus Tuesday, May 9, while attempting to tow the vehicle in Raleigh, NC.

At approximately 4:36 p.m., Raleigh Police Department responded to the scene at 1312 Kirkland Drive and discovered that Jon Andrews, an employee of East Coast Towing of Raleigh, died after the bus fell on him.

Reports stated that Andrews was working under the bus when it fell.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Towing and Recovery Professionals of North Carolina offered condolences to Andrew’ family and friends.
