Funeral Procession Held for Well-Known Pennsylvania Towing Company Owner

A funeral procession was held Monday, Dec. 23 for Pat Herring, 72, of Somerset, Pa. He died Dec. 19 when his tow truck collided with a logging truck in Jefferson Township, Pa.
He was the owner of J E Herring Motor Co. and well known in the towing industry having served as second vice-president for the Pennsylvania Towing Association for many years. He was a member of the Towing and Recovery Association of America and received many industry-related awards and accolades. He was known for his generosity and professionalism.
Herring’s casket was placed on one of his tow trucks in the procession.
