Tow Operator Struck and Killed in Arkansas

A tow operator was struck and killed in the Desha County community of Mitchellville, Arkansas, Thursday, October 24.
A news report stated that James Jones, 30, of Dumas was assisting a stranded motorist on the southbound lane of U.S. Highway 65 at approximately 8 p.m. when an approaching vehicle failed to move over to the inside lane and struck Jones, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The report also stated that his death was confirmed by family members who urged motorists to use caution when approaching vehicles with flashing lights.
Information regarding the driver of the vehicle that struck Jones or any pending charges are not yet available.
