Two Black Shoes
I was running late for work so I grabbed two black shoes and headed out. It wasn’t until half the day was gone that I was looking down at my feet, and noticed that while I had two black shoes — they were completely different in style.
Duh…. that’s what happens when you’re in a hurry and a bit stressed. Good thing is, nobody noticed the shoes except for myself.
Here are few quotes to help make your two-black-shoe day:
“What’s your dream job? Well, in my dreams, I don’t work.”
Unknown
“There cannot be a stressful crisis next week. My schedule is already full.”
– Henry Kissinger
“If stress burned calories, I’d be a supermodel.”
– Unknown
“What the world really needs is more love and less paperwork.”
– Pearl Bailey
“My planner has goals; my alarm has hope. I have coffee.”
– Unknown. (I would add chocolate to this quote.)
“My brain has too many tabs open.”
– Unknown. (This is one of my favorites.)
“Some days, the best thing about the job is that the chair spins.”
– Unknown
“Here’s to another day of outward smiles and inward screams.”
– Unknown. (I can so relate to this.)
“By working faithfully eight hours a day, you may eventually get to be boss and work 12 hours a day.”
– Robert Frost. (I would add 12 plus hours and 24/7/365)
While looking at my two black shoes, I noticed that I really could use some new ones.
Adding shoe shopping to my “to do” list.
