Tow Truck Procession to Honor Tennessee Tow Operator Killed in Semi Crash
A tow truck procession will honor tow operator Robert Clayton, who was killed in a semi crash Wednesday, October 28, on Interstate 24 in Marion County Tennessee.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Clayton, who was an operator for Monteagle Wrecker Service in Monteagle, Tenn., was assisting a stranded AAA motorist near the Kimball/South Pittsburg exit. He was pulling back onto the interstate with a vehicle in tow when he was struck from behind by the 18-wheeler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. (CST) on Saturday at Jasper Memorial Funeral Home in Jasper, Tenn. The procession will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral Home and will proceed through Kimball and Jasper.
Clayton had worked for Monteagle Wrecker Service for the past 15 years.
