Georgia Tow Operator Killed in Hit-and-Run

A Georgia tow operator was struck and killed Thursday, Sept. 17, while loading a vehicle on the shoulder of Interstate 20 in McDuffie County, Ga.

Eugene Jennings (Jason) Willis III, 31, was hit by a vehicle that crossed the fog line at approximately 2:30 a.m., according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The motorist driving the vehicle that struck Willis fled the scene.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash. No information is currently available about the hit-and-run vehicle.

Willis was an operator for Wayne’s Automotive and Towing Center in Aiken, Ga.
