Canadian Tow Operator Killed in Hit-And-Run While Assisting Motorist

A tow operator was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver shortly after 7 a.m., Wednesday on westbound Highway 401 in Blandford-Blenheim, Ontario, Canada.
Authorities determined that the operator was assisting a stranded motorist when he was struck by a passing vehicle that did not remain at the scene.
The operator, who is yet to be identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the collision and are asking anyone with any information or dash cam footage to contact them by calling 1-888-310-1122.
