A reward of $12,000 is being offered for information that will lead to the arrest of the hit-and-run driver who killed tow operator Eugene “Jason” Jennings Willis. Willis, 31, was killed on September 17 while loading a vehicle on the shoulder of I-20 in McDuffie County, Ga.

Wayne’s Towing Recovery Transport, the company Willis worked for, is offering the reward, which was raised through donations from local businesses in Aiken and Augusta.

According to a news report, the vehicle that struck Willis was possibly a large vehicle such as a tractor-trailer or a large vehicle pulling a trailer or equipment. The vehicle would have passenger-side damage.

Anyone in the area of the incident at approximately 2:40 a.m. is asked to contact local authorities with any information.
