GoFundMe Page Established for Michigan Towing Company Impacted by “Catastrophic” Flooding
A flooding emergency deemed “catastrophic” has occurred in mid-Michigan after multiple dams failed on the Tittabawassee River during the first of this week. Approximately 10,000 people were asked to evacuate their homes.
Flooding resulted from heavy rains that fell in central Michigan on May 17. In the following days, dam failures caused rivers and streams to overflow, inundating surrounding areas with floodwaters. One of these areas is Sanford, Mich., home of Cole’s Wrecker Service & Garage, a family-owned towing and recovery service in business since 1924. The company suffered extensive flood damage on the heels of economic hardship brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for owner Dennis Cole. Those who would like to make donations can click on this link.
