Michigan Tow Operator Killed in Crash After Tire Blowout

A tow operator has been killed in a crash Monday May 4, after losing control of his flatbed tow truck on southbound I-69 near Marshall, Mich.

Michigan State police said the operator, a 36-year-old man from Fort Wayne, Ind., lost control of the truck at approximately 4:40 p.m. after a tire blowout. The truck rolled several times and the operator, whose name has not been released pending notification of the family, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the crash.
