Texas Tow Operator Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver
A tow operator was struck and killed Saturday, Dec. 10, on US Highway 183 near Goldthwaite, Texas.
Operator Patrick Morin, 61, of Buchanan Dam, was loading a vehicle at approximately 6 p.m. when a driver in a pickup failed to move over and struck him.
The driver of the pickup, which is believed to be a 2011 to 2015 metallic brown Toyota Tundra 4X4, fled the scene.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is searching for the driver, and stated that evidence at the scene shows that the pickup has aftermarket fender flares painted to match the vehicle, and factory trailer tow mirrors. The pickup is missing a right front fender flare and a right trailer towing mirror, DPS states.
