Florida Tow Operator Struck and Killed

A Florida tow operator was struck and killed on April 14 on U.S. Highway 27 south of Lake Placid, FL.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, operator Ken Sposato, 53, a resident of Labelle, was standing between the outside lane and the tow truck at approximately 3:25 p.m. when the driver of a northbound oncoming vehicle veered onto the shoulder and sideswiped a trailer hooked to the tow truck, the tow truck and Sposato.
The driver of the vehicle was not identified.
Sposato was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
