Among the community-focused holiday events that will be held by towing industry this year are Tow Trucks for Tots and Tows for Tots.

Tow Trucks for Tots

Tow Trucks for Tots is a non-profit organization made up of the towing community, its suppliers and volunteers who gather toys for children during the holiday season.

The organization has three main goals: to bring toys to deserving children, further enhance the image of the towing industry, and break the Guinness Book of World Records record for the largest tow truck parade. Tow Trucks for Tots was awarded the Guinness Book of World Records achievement for the world’s largest tow truck parade in 2009.

This year’s event will be held November 9, 2025, gathering at 6:00 a.m. at the SeatGeek Stadium, 7000 S. Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview, IL.

According to the Tow Trucks for Tots website: “Every second Sunday in November, towing companies throughout the Midwest meet at the Hollywood Casino in Joliet, IL and participate in the Tow Trucks for Tots parade. Towing companies and their trucks come in all shapes and sizes, decorated for the holiday season, bringing collected or donated toys to help those in need. Each tow truck driver is given a free Tow Trucks for Tots T-Shirt for their support, treated to lunch, a live band and the camaraderie of their fellow towing community and friends.”
