Worrying About Everything

271

As an owner of a small towing company, I tend to worry a lot about everything, but I found some quotes that put into perspective how futile it is to worry:

When you worry, it saps you of the energy needed to move forward.

“Our fatigue is often caused not by work, but by worry, frustration and resentment.” — Roy T. Bennettrucker

Stuff happens, whether it’s in your business life or your personal life. I have found, though, that whatever happens can somehow, one way or another, become of value.

“If something is wrong, fix it now. But train yourself not to worry, worry fixes nothing.” — Ernest Hemingway

“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.” — Peter Marshall

So many times, I lie awake and think and worry, toss and turn, punching my pillow wondering, “what am I going to do?”

“If you can’t sleep, then get up and do something instead of lying there worrying. It’s the worry that gets you, not the lack of sleep.”
– Dale Carnegie

My mind is filled with so many things that concern my business: employees, bills, customers – the list goes on and on. Some of the best advice I have been given is to break and breathe; to step away for a few minutes and take some deep breaths. What’s on your mind? Any good words of advice?
