Wisconsin Tow Operator Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver While Attempting to Rescue Turtle

A news story on Fox6Now states that a tow operator was struck and killed today, Friday, May 29, by a hit-and-run driver as the operator attempted to rescue a turtle that was crossing into traffic on northbound I-94 in Racine County Wis.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. The operator had reportedly pulled over to rescue the turtle and was hit.
Two lanes of northbound I-94 were closed as the Wisconsin State Patrol investigated the crash.
