The TRAA Education Foundation, Inc. is proud to provide annual scholarship aid to students furthering their education through its Scholarship Fund. Since 1990, the TRAA Education Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to the children and grandchildren of TRAA regular members to assist them in completing their postsecondary education. Scholarships are awarded to students each year based on merit and the candidate’s overall character, community involvement, family service, etc.

This year the scholarship committee received a record number of applications and awarded a total of $18,500 in scholarships for 2023.

The 2023 Scholarship recipients are:

Alexandria Bender – $4,000
Alyssa Hanville – $2,500
Morgan Hobson – $5,000
Spencer Hobson – $3,500
Mackenna Schueller – $3,500

In an effort to improve the Scholarship Program (formerly known as the WTRAA Scholarship Fund), the TRAA Education Foundation’s Board of Trustees, the Scholarship Fund Committee, and legal counsel have painstakingly reviewed and updated the program. Our goals were to be more inclusive, to recognize additional types of postsecondary educational institutions, and to offer greater scholarship opportunities to our industry’s youth.

The TRAA Education Foundation looks forward to sharing its newly improved scholarship program within the coming months and awarding more funds to deserving students in 2024.

For individuals interested in applying for 2024 scholarship opportunities, look for the TRAA Education Foundation Scholarship Application to run in a Spring edition of TRAA’s National Towing E-News and on the TRAA website, traaonline.com.
