Tow Truck Procession Honored the Late Irvin Johns of Suburban Towing in Louisville, KY

Irvin Johns, 80, founder and CEO of Suburban Towing Inc. of Louisville, KY, died on November 14, 2024.

On November 21, a tow truck procession honoring Johns took place in Louisville where dozens of tow trucks traveled Interstate 65 south.

Johns started Suburban Towing in 1969 with a used 1963 one-ton wrecker and today the operation is the largest towing company in Kentucky employing 83 people with a fleet of over 100 trucks. The company also has locations in Southern Indiana and Texas.

Johns was well known for his racing prowess as well with many wins in his National Hot Rod Association drag racing career.
