Stupid Computer

Yesterday I went to the shop early to balance my checkbook and get a few other things done before the doors opened and employees started coming in.

I was just about to make a pot of coffee when I remembered I couldn’t have any coffee because I was on a 12-hour fasting for some lab tests later that morning.

While I wasn’t able to have my morning coffee, I still felt upbeat because I was happy I was going to get some work done. I sat in my chair, turned on the computer, clicked on the program I wanted and …. nothing. Then a message appeared stating that there was an error and I had the choice to close it or try again. Well, naturally I tried again and the same thing happened.

So, for the next 20 minutes I tried what I knew how to try to fix the problem – shut the computer down and turn it on again. Same thing. By this time frustration had set in as I mumbled “stupid computer” and was ready to kick it. I took a few breaths and called my IT (geek) guy. I was totally upset as all of my plans changed in a few minutes. My mood went from high to low — and I wasn’t even able to have a cup of coffee! Grrrr.

Computers, cell phones, towing equipment – you name it – are items we rely on every day, and when they don’t work it can sure ruin your mood — and day – let alone your pocketbook. Thank goodness I have a reliable and trustworthy IT guy to help with my computer.

I believe that’s how our customers think too. When they need towing service, it may not be in the plans for their day, but when their vehicles are down it’s nice to know they can count on us.
