“Spotter” Ban Would Have Minimal Effect, Ohio Association Says

As Ohio lawmakers consider a ban on the state’s towing companies using “spotters” to when removing or impounding illegally-parked vehicles, some Ohio towing companies say the impact would be minimal as the practice is not widely used.
Under House Bill 113, towing companies that violate the ban would face a third-degree misdemeanor, a fine up to $500 and 60 days in jail.
