Rene Jimenez Joins B/A Products Co.

Rene Jimenez has joined B/A Products Co. in Columbia, Md., where he will provide a key role for B/A, working to bridge the gap between end-users, distributors, B/A, and OEMs through informing and innovating products for the industry, leveraging 30 years of hands-on experience.

“Born into the industry, Rene grew up in the family business, Tavo’s Towing, in Crystal City, Texas,” states a B/A Products Co. press release. “Riding along with his father and jumping into the action whenever he could, Rene became familiar with the hard work and grit involved in a tower’s daily grind. It was here that he became acutely aware of the need for increased safety on the roadside, experiencing the close calls firsthand when he took the controls.

“In 1997, Rene joined the U.S. Marine Corps, where he trained in the Marine Corps Engineer Unit using what he learned in towing with wreckers as support. Rene continued towing for his family business for nearly 30 years, eventually joining Zip’s Truck Equipment in 2018. In his free time, Rene began developing hands-on safety training courses in hopes of moving the needle on safety as well as providing additional resources to the industry. At B/A Products Co., he hopes to continue to act as an advocate for towers across the industry.”
