Pennsylvania Tow Operator/Firefighter Honored with Funeral Procession

First responders gathered on Thursday to escort the body of Tyler A. Laudenslager, 29, of Halifax, Dauphin County, Pa., from Reading Hospital in West Reading, Pa., to the Hoover-Boyer Funeral home in Millersburg.

Laudenslager was killed July 21 when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle while assisting a disabled vehicle along I-78 in Bethel Township.

Along with being a tow operator for H&S Towing, Laudenslager was a volunteer firefighter for the Halifax Fire Department.

Police, firefighters and tow operators joined in the procession.

Laudenslager was described as a family man who was ready to help anyone in either his role as a firefighter or tow operator.

He leaves behind a wife and baby girl.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
