The month of October is National Slow Down-Move Over Month and Saturday, October 19 is National Move Over Day.
Move Over laws, designed to protect first responders, towing operators, emergency roadside workers and disabled motorists on the roadside are active in all 50 states.
Towing operators, associations and AAA chapters are reminding motorists to heed the law, and protect those on the roadside.
Many towing companies use this time to remember towing operators who have lost their lives in service to others.
