National Move Over Day
8
Saturday, October 18 is National Move Over Day.
Held on the third Saturday of October, the day serves as a reminder for motorists to comply with their state’s Move Over laws designed to protect personnel working on the roadside, including law enforcement officers, first responders and tow truck operators.
National Move Over Day also promotes awareness of Move Over laws requiring motorists to slow down and move over for emergency and roadside workers.
State towing associations and individual towing companies have often used National Move Over Day to participate in events designed to reach out to their local motoring communities with the Move Over message.
