Move Over Advocate Speaks at AAA Event

On Thursday, Jan. 23, Move Over law advocate Linda Unruh spoke about the importance of first responder safety at the AAA headquarters in Tampa, Fla.

Unruh’s son Bobby, 37, died in February 2017 when he was struck by a tractor-trailer traveling 82 miles per hour. Bobby was on the scene to assist another tow operator when he was hit.

Within three weeks after the tragedy, the state of New Mexico passed “Bobby’s Law,” which added tow operators to its Move Over law.

Unruh now dedicates time to educating and speaking about Move Over laws and responder safety.
