Mobile Video Computing Solutions (MVCSOL), which provides video telematic solutions under the CruiseCam brand name, connects vehicles to the internet and provides web-based models to help organizations manage their fleets.

The company recently launched a safety campaign for 2021 and beyond during the 2021 Florida Tow Show®. The campaign focuses on forward collision avoidance and driver analytics, among other initiatives.

Forward Collision Avoidance. As distractions, speed and aggression increase on the road, tow operators must safely and expediently respond to emergency calls and other service requests. MVCSOL video systems provide forward collision warning (FCW) alerts of barriers in the tow truck’s path, and FCW with pedestrian detection detects and alerts of people on foot in front of the truck.

Driver Analytics. Distracted driving includes texting, eating, drinking, talking on the phone, adjusting the radio, talking to passengers, using navigation systems, etc. By using MVCSOL in-cab cameras, fleet managers can implement safety programs to reward good driving behaviors while coaching drivers.

With fleet tracking, fleet managers can create detailed reports on key metrics and improve overall safety scores. Speeding, braking habits, seatbelt use and instant collision notifications are some of the analytical data these systems can collect. Cameras not only provide data, recorded video can serve as an extra layer of protection, especially in cases of fraudulent insurance claims.

A monitoring center enables viewing in real time, live streaming and provides reports detailing vehicle analytics, driver behavior and fleet productivity.
