Michigan Tow Operator Struck, Injured on the Roadside

A tow operator was struck and injured by a vehicle on Tuesday, Dec. 31 in Iosco County, Michigan.

According to police, the 62-year-old operator was outside of his truck on the side of M-55 when a pickup lost control in snowy and icy conditions and hit him.

Two Iosco County police cars were also on the scene with emergency lights flashing at the time of the crash.

The operator was hospitalized in stable condition. Their were no serious injuries reported from the driver of the pickup.

Police say no drugs or alcohol were involved and believe weather conditions could have contributed to the crash. The incident is under investigation.
