Authorities have identified a tow operator that was struck and killed on Interstate 575 in Cherokee County, GA.
Frank Lee Ingram, 48, owner of Ingram Towing & Impound Service of Woodstock, GA, had responded to a call in a heavy-duty tow truck and was preparing to hook up a dump truck when he was hit by a passing vehicle.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:10 p.m. near Exit 11.
Ingram was well-known in the community as a kind man with a commitment to professionalism, and a formidable competitor in the field of motorsports.
