Garry Leach Elected President of the Towing and Recovery Association of Alberta, Canada
The Towing and Recovery Association of Alberta, Canada, has elected Garry Leach as its president. Leach is a longtime veteran of the Canadian towing industry, starting a one-truck towing operation in Winnipeg that grew to a fleet of dozens of units. In addition to operating his towing business, Leach served as director and later president of the towing division of the Automotive Trades Association of Manitoba, and became a sworn member of the Manitoba Police Department, retiring in 2000.
Leach was inducted into the Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame in 2016, and has been a board member of the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum since 2022, and as a committee member for Canada and non-North American countries for the museum’s Survivor Fund and Wall of the Fallen.
Leach retired from his towing business in 2021, and has served the industry in a consulting role.
