Arizona Professional Towing and Recovery Association press release:

The Arizona Professional Towing and Recovery Association (APTRA) and The National Towing Foundation (NTF) (APTRA’s Foundation 501C3), announced on February 8, 2022, that it is establishing a Survivor’s Fund for Arizona towing operators and their families.

The fund will benefit operators who are struck on the side of the road and injured, or the families of operators who are struck and killed. “It is an unfortunate happening that occurs more times that I would like to count,” says executive director Angela Barnett.

The goal of APTRA and the Foundation is to promote, engage and advocate for all tow operators in the state of Arizona, not just it’s members, and increase awareness of tow operator safety issues roadside, lack of protection and abuse of the laws that are in place to protect them.

The first fundraiser to establish the fund is the 3rd Annual Move Over Madness Golf Tournament on March 25, 2022, in Mesa, Ariz.
