Pennsylvania Tow Operator Killed While Securing Truck For Tow

News reports state that a tow operator for Herring Motor Co. of Somerset, Pa., was killed early today, July 27, as he secured a truck for towing.
Thomas Hoket, 26, of Johnstown, was securing the truck during a service call on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, approximately 7 miles west of Somerset.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene at 1:34 a.m.
Earlier reports stated that Hoket died after the truck he was preparing to tow fell on him.
State police are investigating, calling the incident “very tragic.”
