NRC Industries Introduces the New CSR85 Sliding Rotator

2635

NRC has launched their new Heavy Incident Manager (HIM), the CSR85, billed as the flagship of NRC’s composite sliding rotators.

The CSR85 has a V-shaped telescopic, rotating boom rated to 85 tons capacity per SAE J2512. It has 60,000-lb. main winches and optional 25,000 lbs auxiliary winches. Utilizing a cylinder and type 6 low-stick slip nylon wear pads, the CSR85 boom can slide 139 inches under load along a set of rails, allowing for 467 inches of reach past the tailboard. The CSR85’s redesigned hydraulic system supplies 3700 psi of pressure to the boom cylinders.

• SAE boom structural rating: 85 tons

• Lift capacity: Tested to 170,000 lbs. real load

• Vertical pull: Tested to 232,000 lbs.

• Dimensions: From 40 feet and 18,500 lbs./axle on five axles

NRC’s team worked to optimize steel weight on the CSR85, so that every component has a twofold purpose: structural and counterweighting.

Like the CSR50 and CSR65, the CSR85 has a stylish, lightweight and functional composite body, and comes standard with a set of rails and quick hydraulic coupler to accept a range of NRC detachable underlifts.
