Wisconsin Tow Operator Struck and Killed in Christmas Eve Hit and Run

A tow operator was struck and killed Tuesday, Dec. 24, near Summit, Wisconsin, in Waukesha County.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, the 40-year-old operator was loading a disabled vehicle on the shoulder of I-94 eastbound near Sawyer Road at approximately 6:45 p.m. when he was struck by a blue minivan.
The minivan did not stop at the scene and continued eastbound, exiting at Highway C.
The operator was taken to a hospital but was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Waukesha County Communications Center at 262-446-5070.
