Georgia Tow Operator Struck and Killed by Impaired Driver

A Georgia tow operator was struck and killed March 27 on Interstate 75 in metro Atlanta.
The Georgia State Patrol said operator Troy Simon was preparing to tow a vehicle in the early morning hours when a vehicle driven by Troyvarius Crumedy, 21, struck two Atlanta Police cruisers, then Simon.
Simon was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day.
The Georgia State Patrol arrested Crumedy on several charges including driving under the influence.
