They Walked Away — Semi 360

Aug 10th, 2012 | By | Category: Spotlight

Featured in the August issue of Tow Times are crashes that are amazing in that the passenger(s) of the vehicles walked away with little or no injuries. This tractor-trailer incident is one of them. While running on cruise control, no rx this semi hit a patch of ice and began a 360-degree spin before slamming into an overpass support. The trailer and load of cargo was blasted down the roadway and median. Both driver and passenger walked away.

Al’s Towing of Hershey, Neb., worked this December 2010 wreck with two heavy-duty units, a military recovery unit, loaders, roll-off containers, lowboy trailers and eight extra men. They put in a little more than 11 hours on the job.
