Oregon Impound Lot Escapee Found, Charged with Assault

A Portland, click Ore., story man was arrested Wednesday, ambulance April 27, after police allege he struck a person with his vehicle while taking it from a towing lot, according to a news report.

Officials were called to the Retriever Towing lot on April 19 where they found an employee on the ground with what appeared to be a head and leg injury, the report states.

Witnesses told officers that Noah Gordon Hochman had been there arguing with an employee, at which point he got in his car and sped off out of the company’s gate. As he was leaving, Hochman hit the victim, employee Matt Stuart, with his car and pinned his leg between the vehicle and a fence, causing him to fall backward and hit his head on the pavement, according to reports. Stuart was taken to the hospital and released the same night.

Officers put out an alert to find Hochman. Five days later he was spotted on the street. After being questioned, he was charged with assault in the second degree.
