New York State Law Banning Towing of Cars for Parking Violations Nixed

A New York state law that would have banned towing cars for unpaid parking tickets has been nixed, information pills according to a news report.

A new state law that would have taken away the city’s right to tow cars for unpaid parking violations was changed this week, viagra order days before it was to take effect.

Mayor Bloomberg, who was against the bill, lobbied former Gov. David Paterson to veto the bill late last year, the report states. Paterson signed the bill because its main intent was to protect people in financial distress from losing modest homes, cars, wedding rings and other personal items of value to creditors.

The state Senate amended the bill last fall to allow towing to continue, but the Assembly failed to act before the bill hit Paterson’s desk, according to the report. With the law set to take effect today, both chambers hastily reversed the matter this week.

Gov. Cuomo signed it Wednesday, his first bill signed as governor.
