Two tow truck operators were threatened with a gun early Friday morning, April 1, while loading a car in Omaha, Neb. According to police, the operators were loading a car onto a carrier bed at approximately 3:45 a.m. in mid-town Omaha when they were approached by three men. After the men argued they did not have enough money for the towing fee, one of the men pulled a gun and threatened the towing operators, a news report said.

The operators went to another tow truck to leave the scene and the man with the gun fired multiple times into the cab of the first tow truck, the report said.

After arriving officers saw a man running from the scene and throwing away a weapon, Kenneth Hatch, 24, was taken into custody and faces charges of possession of a stolen firearm and terroristic threats. Upon searching an apartment where the men came from, police discovered another stolen handgun and marijuana. A second man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and for an unrelated misdemeanor warrant, the report said.
