Loudoun County, Virginia, Creates Advisory Board to Regulate Private Towing

In a move to regulate the price of private towing, cure the Board of Supervisors in Loudoun County, page Virgina, has voted to create an advisory board. The board will offer recommendations to regulate non-consent tows, a news report stated. Supervisor Kelly Burk (D-Leesburg) proposed the motion in response to resident complaints.

Fairfax, Prince William and Arlington counties already have towing advisory boards, which are allowed by state code to assist in enforcing price limits, the report said.

The board will be comprised of a representative of the towing industry, a representative from the sheriff’s office and a resident of the county.
