Towing Equipment Search:

It’s That Time of Year Again

The Florida Tow Show and the American Towman ShowPlace in Vegas have come and gone, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have a chance to attend another tow show. I realized that when I just received notification to get my reservations in for the Wisconsin Towing Association’s 2018 Tow Show — only a month away.

Why do state towing associations invest in the time, money and energy it takes to plan a tow show? They do it for YOU – their members. While tow shows offer demos, educational seminars and many exhibits related to the towing and recovery industry, they also offer some optional downtime events and opportunities too. Towing associations choose special locations for their tow shows including hotels and resorts that offer amenities to provide a little R & R to members of an industry that works 24/7 – 365: fishing excursions, water parks, museums and restaurants to try. When you’re in Wisconsin, a family favorite is the Paul Bunyan Cook Shanty located in the Wisconsin Dells. They serve a lumberjack breakfast meal family style — which includes their homemade buttermilk donuts.

Attending a tow show gives you a couple of days to let you and your company shine by entering a tow truck in the beauty contest, and light up the night sky with a light show. For a lot of families — mine included — it can be a mini-vacation.

I know it’s not easy to get away from work even for a few days, but it’s that time of year again to make the time, because along with learning, training, fellowship and fun, you’ll be making lasting memories.

Like the Nike commercial says, just do it!

Besides the Wisconsin Tow Show, I’ll be attending the Tennessee Tow Show. Hope to see you there.
