Friends and Family to Honor Deceased Rochester Tower Today

Friends and family from the New England area will gather today to honor deceased tow truck operator Bob Johnson, visit web according to a news report.

On Dec. 31, cheapest Johnson died after a long battle with heart disease. Johnson opened Bob’s Towing and Repair 26 years ago and was a well-loved figure in his Rochester, N.Y., community.

Bob’s best friend Dick Gardner, of Gardner & Son’s Towing & Salvage, has gathered more than 30 tow truck operators together to parade their trucks throughout downtown Rochester at 4:30 p.m. today in honor of Johnson, the report states.

The parade starts at Bob’s Towing on Stillings Court and finishes at Roberge Center, where a memorial will be held for Johnson from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Johnson was diagnosed with a heart condition three years ago and during the last year of his life the condition made him so sick he was unable to ride in his truck. His friends say the parade is for Johnson to have his one last ride in his truck, as his cremated remains will ride in one of the tow trucks, the report states.
