Colorado Woman Accused in Tower’s Dragging Death Back in Jail

The woman facing charges in the February dragging death of Colorado tow truck driver Allen Rose, page allegedly violated the terms of her bail and is being held in the El Paso County jail, according to a news report.

Detra Farries, 34, apparently moved to Denver without notifying the court or receiving permission while out on bail, the report states. She is being held on $50,000 bond, with her next court appearance set for April 15.

Farries is charged with vehicular homicide in the death of Rose, 35, who was dragged to death Feb. 23 while trying to tow her illegally parked SUV from an apartment complex. Rose was attaching a cable to the vehicle when Farries jumped into the driver seat and drove away. Rose’s legs became tangled in the cable, and he was dragged for several blocks.
